Kelly’s experience in Accounting, Finance, & Small Business Consulting has prepared her to lead others to success. This experience, expertise, and passion for small businesses gave her a unique insight into the business world and fed her desire to start The Profit Firm. As a Profit Strategist & CFO, Kelly serves clients in a Fractional role allowing them to gain access to Executive Level Management without the fulltime cost commitment.
Kelly believes in ethical transparency in everything The Profit Firm does, from operations to the rates they charge. She strives to help small business owners gain financial freedom by creating several revenue streams and positioning them as the leader in their industry.
Kelly is also a licensed Tax Preparer certified directly with the IRS.

Married with two children, 26 and 19, Kelly loves spending time with family and traveling, while cruising the Caribbean is her favorite type of vacation, she is looking forward to exploring other parts of the world.

Matthew Roberts
VP of Finance

Matt Roberts is a licensed tax professional with a passion for educating clients through the tax
planning and preparation process. Matt has experience in private, public, and non-profit accounting, giving him insight into the needs of his clients. His focus is helping businesses increase their bottom line without losing their profit to taxes. Matt serves as our Vice President of Finance, working with clients on complex business solutions, increasing profits, and tax strategies.

When Matt is not working, you will find him at the park with his wife and three kids, running, or playing chess.

Kristie James
Finance Manager
Kristie brings over 20 years of experience in Account Management, Bookkeeping, and Accounting. She
thrives on building client relationships and exceeding expectations. Kristie is certified in Xero and is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She has worked with many industries and is fluent in international financial management. Leveraging her experience and excellent communication, she perfectly represents The Profit Firm brand.

When she is not crunching numbers, Kristie loves to spend time with her family and her first grandbaby! She is also a diehard Green Bay Packers fan! Go Pack, Go!

Kayla Rodgers
Bookkeeper
Kayla Rodgers is joining us with a diverse background that includes roles as a Judicial Assistant to a
Juvenile Court Judge and a 911 Dispatcher, she brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the financial world. Her journey in the legal and emergency services fields has honed her organizational and detail-oriented nature, qualities she now channels into the world of bookkeeping. Kayla is also a Certified Payroll Specialist & helps our clients with Basic Bookkeeping, Payroll, & Sales Tax Filings.
Beyond the numbers, she is passionate about animals and finds solace in spending quality time with her loving husband and their daughter.

Ashley Lett
Accounting & Tax Assistant
Ashley is an Accounting Graduate that has strong analytical skills that thrives in the tax world.
Ashley's continuing educational plan involves completing her CPA designation. She is a solution driven problem solver that is happy to help where needed. She helps with both our bookkeeping and tax clients, assisting Kasey & Matt in providing the best service. Ashley has over 10 years experience working with customers to serve up exceptional expectations.
When she is not working, Ashley is hanging out with her 2 kiddos, traveling, and visiting back home in California.
Kayden Black
Marketing & Administrative Coordinator
Kayden Black is a Business major at the University of North Georgia.
Kayden helps The Profit Firm with social media, admin, HR, data entry/bookkeeping. She is eager to learn the ropes of working in an office setting as she plans to move to Florida to pursue a career in a corporate environment. Kayden is also HR People Advisory Certified & holds a Payroll Certification.
When Kayden is not in the office, you can find her on her Ninja 400 bike as her passion is riding and working out.

Kasey Kitzhaber
VP of Tax & Operations
Kasey brings a fresh perspective to our team and has over 15 years of operations management. In her
VP position, she is the driving force behind our client’s operations and management division and is also responsible for client onboarding. Kasey is also our Tax Onboarding Specialist, assisting tax clients with navigating the complex hurdles of tax compliance & preparation. Kasey is a licensed Tax Preparer certified with the IRS.
She looks forward to growing with The Profit Firm and meeting new clients while nurturing relationships with current clients.
When Kasey is not in the office, she enjoys grilling out with her husband and kiddos. She loves vacationing in Florida with her family and going on trips with her sisters.

Senior Bookkeeping Manager
Jess Smyth is a finance professional with over 10 years of experience leveraging extensive skills in managing
web/mobile applications, BPO, and financial consulting to achieve progressive financial prosperity for a vast number of businesses domestically and internationally. Jess will bring her expertise in system automation and creating streamlined processes to simplify bookkeeping for our clients. Jess is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and our Bookkeeping Guru!
Jess enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, Labrador Retriever, and cat. She loves to be outdoors with her family swimming, fishing, hiking, and camping.

With a strong background in customer service and a proven track record in bookkeeping, she is dedicated to continually enhancing her expertise. Jace is passionate about her work and is always looking for new ways to grow her skills and contribute to our clients' success.
Beyond her professional life, Jace is an avid music lover who enjoys attending concerts and immersing herself in different genres. She also finds joy in the great outdoors, spending her free time hiking, camping, and exploring nature. When she's not on the trails or at a concert, you'll likely find her curled up with a good book. Jace's diverse interests and enthusiasm for learning make her a valuable asset to our team, and we're excited to have her on board.
Shelby Johnson
Accounting & Operations Assistant
Shelby assists our team with her desire to lend a hand where needed & tackle complex tasks.
Shelby is a currently a Business Technology student, where she is developing the skills to succeed in the corporate world. As an Accounting & Operations Assistant, Shelby plays a key role in supporting the team with her keen attention to detail and strong organizational abilities. Whether handling data entry or managing financial processes, she is committed to maintaining accuracy and efficiency. With extensive customer service experience, she provides a seamless and positive experience for every client interaction, making each engagement feel personalized and professional.
Outside of work, Shelby’s creativity comes to life in the kitchen, where she enjoys experimenting with baking whatever ingredients she has on hand. She also loves spending time outdoors, going on walks, and enjoying nature. When she's at home, Shelby relaxes with her cats and family who are always by her side.
